New Fiction to Publish in 2024
Stories and a poem by Scott Holleran to be featured in literary reviews and festivals
My stories are gaining an audience. Several tales go to press examining mysterious, dark and dystopian themes, usually with an accent on optimism. Besides new anthologies with my stories, new stories are either published or pending publication.
Among the accepted or published tales:
“Allegheny Lane,” the tale of a boy and his dog encountering a stranger, has been accepted for fall publication in an Ohio literary review. The theme: trust.
A literary review in Philadelphia accepted the transsexual-oriented “Beautiful are the Brave” for publication. My theme: self-recovery.
“The Corn Ball” has been accepted for publication in a literary journal “dedicated to showcasing unique perspectives, topics, and styles in literature and art.” This work of fiction forewarns against faith in environmentalism.
